Old Man Banksia, or Banksia serrata, is a special Australian plant. This artwork is based on original photography and the cyanotype print has been exposed, toned with coffee then re-painted and exposed a second time. This second exposure tends to a deeper, darker blue which is rich and luscious and adds a depth and moodiness to the image.
