1.1 By accessing and using this website (www.melanderson.com.au), you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions. If you disagree with any part of these terms and conditions, please do not use our website.
1.2 The terms “me”, “my” or "I" refer to Mel Anderson, and "you" refers to the user or customer of our website.
1.3 My limited edition prints include cyanotypes and photography works, and all orders are custom-made to order.

Intellectual Property
2.1 All intellectual property rights, including copyrights and trademarks, relating to my limited edition prints, website content, and materials remain my sole property.
2.2 You may not reproduce, distribute, or modify any part of my prints or website content without my prior written consent.

Privacy
3.1 I value your privacy and handle your personal information in accordance with my Privacy Policy. By using my website, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information as outlined in my Privacy Policy.

Governing Law 
4.1 These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Australia. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these terms and conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Australia.

SHOP​

Ordering and Delivery 
5.1 All orders are subject to availability. I strive to fulfill your order promptly, but please allow 10-14 days for printing, finishing, and postage within Australia. For international orders, please allow 2-4 weeks for delivery.
5.2 Postage is free for all orders delivered within Australia.
5.3 I package my prints with acid-free tissue paper to ensure their protection during transit.
5.4 Delivery times provided are estimates and may be subject to unforeseen delays or circumstances beyond my control. The Fairy Wren Creative Hub is not liable for any loss or damage caused by delayed delivery.

Pricing and Payment 
6.1 The prices of my limited edition prints are as stated on my website and are subject to change without prior notice.
6.2 All prices are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include applicable taxes.
6.3 I accept payment through the available methods indicated on my website. Payment must be made in full before your order is processed.

Returns and Refunds
7.1 I take great care in producing and packaging my prints to ensure they reach you in excellent condition. If, however, you receive a damaged or faulty print, please contact me within seven (7) days of receiving the order, providing details and photographic evidence of the damage.
7.2 I reserve the right to assess the nature of the damage or fault and determine an appropriate resolution, which may include providing a replacement or issuing a refund.
7.3 I do not accept returns or provide refunds for prints due to a change of mind or if the print does not match your expected aesthetic preferences.

WORKSHOP​S - GENERAL

Cancellations by you
8.1 Workshops are payable in advance and are non-refundable. 
8.2 If you are unable to attend the Workshop in its entirety, we require at least 7 days’ notice in writing prior to the commencement of the course. 
8.3 Please email info@melanderson.com.au to request either :
   - a transfer to another term, free of charge; or
   - a credit note or refund, less a 5% admin/booking fee. 
   - alternatively, you can transfer your workshop to another person – please advise the name of the substitute person within 48 hours of the commencement of the first workshop date.
8.4 Once a workshop has commenced no refunds or transfers can be arranged.

Cancellations by me
9.1 The Fairy Wren Creative Hub reserves the right to cancel a workshop if the minimum number of bookings (6) is not reached. We will provide as much notice of this as possible and in this instance, a full refund will be provided.

Missed Classes 
10.1 It is recommended that participants make every effort to attend the full number of sessions. If you are unable to attend a class, please email info@melanderson.com.au. 

Student Responsibilities 
11.1 It is recommended that students read The Fairy Wren Creative Hub information sheet regarding the studio and materials supplied at the time of booking. This can also be found here.
11.2 It is the student’s responsibility to ensure they do not have any prior medical illness or injuries that will be exacerbated by attending the selected class, and if unsure it is recommended for students to seek medical advice prior to attending a workshop
11.3 Students are responsible for any physical injuries and for damage or loss of personal property, whilst at the studio. It is highly recommended that participants attend their class free of jewellery. In particular, it is advised not to wear any rings, bangles, wristbands, watches or earrings. Short nails are strongly encouraged as long nails make pottery work difficult.
11.4 Students are required to wear appropriate comfortable clothing that can get dirty. Closed-toe shoes are essential.
11.5 Students are required to bring their own towel and apron to each class.
11.6 Tools and materials are provided as per the workshop description. Students are not to remove any tools or other equipment from the studio.
11.7 Students agree to give The Fairy Wren Creative Hub unrestricted publishing rights for any photographs or videos taken at classes for marketing purposes. If you would rather not be involved in this please email info@melanderson.com.au prior to the commencement of the workshop.
11.8 It is at the discretion of the teacher to not accept a late arrival to a workshop if it is potentially detrimental to fellow students. This will be treated as a late cancellation.
11.9 Workshops are designed to cater to a variety of skill levels and most workshops are suitable for complete beginners to more experienced levels unless otherwise stated in the course outline.

WORKSHOP​S - CERAMICS

Important note about materials
12.1 Our pricing includes standard-size pieces, number of pieces, materials and firing. Additional materials for making large or numerous items will incur a fee to cover materials and kiln space.
- Extra clay is from $6/kg
- Firing is charged at $7/kg for bisque and $12/kg for glaze.
- Firing of additional pieces is @$10 per piece.

Missing, damaged or cracked pots
13.1 The Fairy Wren Creative Hub takes extreme care firing work, however there is always a risk of technical failure with ceramics for which we cannot be held responsible. We are unable to guarantee that all your work will be successfully fired. Your pot may experience breakage, cracking, or even exploding in the kiln, particularly if it is too thick or thin. We take great care with all the work in packing and firing in our kilns and we appreciate your understanding of the unpredictable nature of ceramics. 

Collecting work
14.1 Work completed during the workshop classes will take approximately 3 weeks to fire after a workshop finishes. Students will be notified by email when their work is ready and have 2 weeks to collect their work. Due to space constraints, unless otherwise agreed, uncollected work after this time will be donated to a local charity.
14.2 Regrettably, we are unable to ship your ceramics after the workshops. If you are unable to collect your work in person, we strongly recommend you arrange someone to collect on your behalf before they are discarded. Works can be fragile and difficult to pack and post and we appreciate your understanding in this matter. You will be contacted when your piece is ready for pickup. General turnaround times are as follows: 
- Making & underglazing workshop – 3 weeks 
- Clay workshop – 2 weeks 
- Glazing workshop – 1 week
14.3 Opening hours for pickup are : Wednesday 12pm to 3.30pm and Saturday 9.30am to 1.30pm
14.4 For private parties, we will contact you for pick up when all pieces from your party are ready.
