This photograph was taken in North Deniliquin along the river on a misty winter morning. I was transfixed as the warmth of the ground billowed up to soften into mist in the sharpness of the cool air, blanketing the earth in its quiet embrace. For the first time I experimented with encaustic wax as a method of sealing the paper and loved the added depth and intensity of colour achieved through the fusion of the wax to the ink.
