Autonomy (2025)

Following on from the Agency series (2024), Autonomy is her twin sister and closely intertwined. While autonomy represents complete freedom and self-direction, agency provides meaningful ways to act and make choices within existing structures. Autonomy was harder to find within myself. I had been working hard to move forward over the past three years of transition and liminal spaces but complete freedom and self-direction brought it's own sense of overwhelm and indecision. I swung from one to the other as the dust slowly settled and my life started to grow roots to take shape in a new environment. Finishing this series towards the end of 2025 I have been trapped in my head and crushed by ego and it is now time to let go and start from scratch.
